At Shreveport Chiropractic, we strive to take our patients from pain to performance.

At our office, we focus on evidence based conservative therapies to help our patients recover quickly and safely from motor vehicle accidents. These therapies include, but are not limited to, chiropractic adjustment, stretching, exercise, whole body vibration, cold laser, interactive metronome, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, traction, flexion distraction, bracing, and physiotherapy. We also work hand in hand with other medical professionals, making sure that our patients needs are met in a timely and effective way. We regularly refer to other specialists as well as for special imaging as needed to manage the patient’s care. On Fridays, Dr. Christopher Rankin, M.D. personally sees our motor vehicle accident patients exclusively as needed.

OUR SERVICES

- Chiropractic
Manipulation is a generally accepted, well-established therapeutic intervention for cervical spine pain, thoracic spine pain, and low back pain. Chiropractic adjustments or manipulations are a high velocity, low amplitude technique which means the joint is moved to its end range of motion and moves into the zone of accessory joint movement, well within the limits of anatomical integrity. This is primarily used in post concussion rehabilitation in office.

- Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive medical treatment that uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate the body's natural healing processes and promote tissue regeneration for conditions like tendonitis and chronic pain.

- Cold Laser Therapy
Class IV Cold laser is used to treat musculoskeletal pain. When applied to the skin, it has a photobiostimulative effect, reducing pain and stimulating mitochondrial function.

- Therapeutic Exercises
When you are involved with a motor vehicle accident, your body is moved very violently inside of the car–this often leads to significant muscle injuries. We address these muscles using exercises and stretching to help improve their function.

- Radiological Services
After a traumatic injury, it is important that red flags like fracture and dislocation be ruled out by taking an X-ray. At our office, we use digital X-rays. This means that we can instantly see the image after we take an X-ray and that we can edit and modify the image for diagnostic purposes.

- Whole Body Vibration
Whole Body Vibration is a treatment used in office in which patients stand on the platform and powerful vibrations are sent up throughout their entire body. We typically have patients perform exercises or stretches on this device to improve range of motion, strength, and flexibility.

- Braces & Orthotics
We provide braces to our patients in office when we believe they can benefit from this service. Many different types of braces are used to meet our patients’ needs. We evaluate our patients to determine if a device is necessary and if so, which type will be most beneficial.
